When I was 12 years old, I met the love of my life, Derek, at our school bus stop!! He was also my next door neighboor, so yes, I just so happened to be "the girl next door".
We road the bus together every morning and afternoon to and from school.
The first time I saw him, I thought to myself hey he is kinda cute, but I was only 12 and he was 17, and my best friend had a huge crush on him, so I knew I didn't stand a chance with him haha.
So a few years went by and Derek moved away and joined the Air Force.
And I stayed in Harlem, Georgia until the middle of my 11th grade year in High School.
I then moved to Trenton, Kentucky and I had gotten in contact with my best friend (the one who had a crush on him).
She gave me his full name and so I actually got on Facebook and looked him up and yay I found him!! I was so afraid that he wasn't going to remember me because it had been a couple of years. But he did!!
He was at the time stationed in Korea, where he resumed to be at for the following 11 months. For the next couple of weeks we would talk on the phone and I soon found out that while I was at the bus stop with him he had felt the same about me that I did about him, boy was I shocked!! We started dating within two months of being "reunited".
And on my 19th birthday, (October 28th, 2010) he asked me to marry him, first over skype...
and then with flowers and a card :)
And I of course said YES!! :) I then moved to Missouri, and lived with his parents (worst time ever!!) until he came home in April, 2011.
It was then on May 4th, that I married my best friend, my love, my heart.
And we went on our honeymoon in Branson, Missouri.
We spent a whole month together before he had to leave to his next duty station which is Japan.
It was a bitter sweet last day with him. I knew the quicker he went, the quicker it would be for me to leave to go to Japan to be with him. Although, after spending 11 months without him it was a very hard good-bye.
But soon we were reunited (again). I was a very happy girl haha.
We had tons of fun in Japan, doing things as a newlywed couple that I had never dreamed of, it was so much fun :)
A few months later we found out that we were pregnant!!!
And I began to grow....
And I grew....
And grew... lol
And on April 4th 2012 at 5:07pm our world changed forever as our beautiful baby boy entered this world :)
Our journey began as a family, and its been amazing ever since <3
And I grew....
